Christmas trees at Westonbirt

The first port of call for any visit to Westonbirt Arboretum during the festive season the arboretum Plant Centre - where you can choose a freshly cut Christmas tree to take home and decorate your front room.

The choice of trees is as good as you would expect from the National Arboretum, with Norway Spruce, Fraser Fir, Noble Fir, Nordman Fir and Lodgepole Pine to choose from – and prices are unchanged from last year. These splendid trees range from 4 foot to 10 foot tall. Some container plants will also be available so that the trees can be enjoyed over the festive season and then planted out in the garden.

Sarah Landers from Westonbirt’s Plant Centre said: “The Lodgepole pine – traditionally used as Christmas trees in the United States – is likely to be a popular choice this year. It has very attractive bushy foliage, gives off a lovely pine smell and keeps its needles very well.”

These magnificent trees go on sale from the Plant Centre on December 1st.  The Plant Centre is open from 10am-5pm, seven days per week, 1st – 23rd December.
