SISSINGHURST CASTLE has just joined Bedgebury, Bewl Water, Finchcocks, Lamberhurst Vineyard, Marle Place and Scotney Castle within The High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as part of the Seven Wonders of the Weald. Together they offer visitors the chance to experience a variety of different attractions, all within a ten-mile radius, The Seven Wonders Pass entitles the bearer to the following for just £25 per year: The Seven Wonders feature watersports, cycling, the world's best conifer collection, beautiful gardens, art, historic musical instruments, award-winning English wines, wonderful walks and special events throughout the year, such as outdoor summer concerts, fungi forays, sculpture shows and boating galas. The High Weald AONB is one of England’s finest landscapes, featuring rolling hills draped with small irregular fields and grasslands, abundant woodlands and hedges, sunken lanes, captivating villages and farmsteads plus wonderful historic buildings. The Seven Wonders plays an important role in the development of sustainable rural tourism, promoting local activities and products and increasing visitor knowledge of the area while adding value to the local economy and environment.
