New PlantingWoodland Establishment GrantsGrants for creating new woodlands. Rates vary for new native woodlands, planting quality mixtures, simple mixtures and standard crops. Additional grants are available for creating new woodlands in habitat network areas. Fencing costs are grant aidable separately from the planting grant at a rate of £1.75/metre. DEFINITIONS: - Local, Native Planting Stock - Plants derived from locally collected seed - see Forest Practice Guide 8.
- Core Networks/Focal Networks - these are areas identified by FCW and the countryside Council for Wales (CCW), as having good potential to form linked habitat networks.
