  • Tickets will not be available on the night, so please purchase them in advance.

Essential Information

Duration: the event lasts 1.5 - 2 hours, and there is around 3km of walking.

Start times:  Buses leave from Glenmore campsite every 20 minutes (on the half hour, at ten to the hour and at ten past the hour) to take you to the start of the event.  The first bus leaves the campsite at 5.30pm and the last at 8.50pm

Getting back: Buses will return regularly to the campsite throughout the course of the evening with the last at 10.30pm.

There is a fixed number of tickets for each start time due to the number of seats on the bus.  Please select a start time when purchasing tickets from The Booth.

Other details:

  • Please note the event contains flashing lights.
  • No flash photography is permitted during the event so we've provided some images of the event for you to download.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • No animals will be permitted except guide dogs.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless an event is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. See cancellation policy, below. 
  • On arrival, park at the Glenmore Caravan Site (15 mins from Aviemore on the ski road to Cairngorm) to catch the bus that will ferry you to the event (approx. 5 mins).
  • Please allow plenty of time to park and catch your allotted time slot (the visitor centre / Forest Café and toilets will remain open until 9pm). You will be given a 'special' entry ticket on production of your booking number.
  • Food and drinks will be available on the night at Glenmore Visitor Centre, Glenmore shop, Glenmore Lodge and Cairngorm Mountain.
  • A walk on a well-surfaced path and specially laid boardwalk of approx. 3 kms (1.5 -2 hours) will ensue, taking you, at night, to the 'legends of the forest' in a 'different world'. Please keep to the paths - the forest is full of surprises at night!
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required, although a part of the trail will be suitable for wheelchairs/ buggies/ prams. If you need information on this please ask us. Grippy footwear and warm clothing / waterproofs / hats /gloves are advisable. A small hand torch may be used if felt necessary but as this is a light show with a difference we would ask you to use it sparingly in order not to spoil the experience for others.

Cancellation Policy

If extreme weather conditions are experienced, the event may be cancelled. If this is the case, ticket holders will be offered another date or will be given a full refund.
