Opportunities to Get Involved at Bedgebury
VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES: Education volunteers wanted
Volunteers are an enormous help to education staff. Another pair of hands can make everyone’s day so much easier. It’s also a fun, first-hand way of finding out more about the National Pinetum and the education programmes we run here. We’re delighted to hear from volunteers who want to help with anything for education, but we are particularly looking for people who would be willing to help accompany school and group visits. Don’t worry – we would not be expecting you to teach the children or take responsibility for them! The main duties would be helping to prepare and carry equipment, taking down shelters and generally helping the education staff who are leading the group. So if you have some spare time during weekdays from roughly 9am to 3pm, particularly between April and the end of July, then why not think about it? Please call Cath Armstrong, Education Manager, on 01580 213045 to find out more.
