Opening Times

Family fun - walking and running in the woods.Alice Holt Forest is open 365 days a year. The Woodland Park opens at 8am and closes at 5pm (October – February), 7pm (March – April), 9pm (May – August) and 7pm (September).

Car Parking Charges

There is a charge for vehicle access within the forest to assist with the maintenace costs of the woodland facilities. You can pay on-site at a machine or buy a season ticket for  a year.

Directions

Alice Holt Forest is located a few miles south of Farnham on the A325 and approximately 1 mile south of Birdworld. The multimap link shows exactly where we are.For satnav users, the post code is GU10 4LS.

By road

From the A31 turn off at Farnham onto the A325. Stay on the A325 for approximately 4 miles. From Portsmouth and Petersfield take the A325 towards Farnham. At the Halfway House Pub on the A325 turn off the main road following signs for the Woodland Park. The entrance is 300 yards along this road on the left.

By rail

The nearest station is at Bentley, approximately 3 miles form the Forest Centre. From here you can walk through Alice Holt Forest to the forest centre along public rights of way. Alternatively take the train to Farnham and catch  the Stagecoach number 18 bus to the Forest.

By bus

Stagecoach number 18 runs from Farnham Station to Bucks Horn Oak, stopping at the Halfway House Pub on the A325. It is just a short walk from here to the woods.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Alice Holt Forest.  We ask that all dogs be kept on a lead in the car parks, by the café, play furniture and ponds. Please clean up after your dog and use the bins provided.

Permits

The Permits page (menu left) will tell you all about car parking permits which will save you money if you visit regularly. There's also information about horse riding permits and events permissions which you will need for these activities.
