The Play Wood

Discover a place where trees rule our world at Play Wood. Children can enjoy climbing on foresters’ ‘machinery’ and many other items built to reflect how trees have been part of our lives for centuries.Children's play area Alice Holt Woodland Park.

3 D Maze

For even more adventure on a forestry theme, come and visit our 3D maze, based on the old forester’s sawmill. Its ladders, passages and winding corridors are spread over 4 floors. Views over the forest and a little playhouse greet you at the top.

Timberline Assault Course

Boys playing on the Timberline TrailTimberline is ideal for older children. It offers a circuit of different challenges to overcome, from climbing wall to scramble net, and balancing beam to tunnel.....but can you make it to the end of the assault course without falling off?

Habitat Trail 

Playing on the owl play sculpture in Alice Holt Woodland Park.Journey further into the forest and you will be greeted by an amazing array of forest creatures. Climb a spiral staircase inside a tree trunk, home of the woodpecker; run up an owl's back to watch him seek his prey, clamber on a dragonfly, discover scurrying squirrels, find a bridge guarded by snakes and ride on a bat and moth in the depths of the forest. An enchanting trail of animals in their woodland home awaits you.
