Numeracy activity trail
Following collaboration with Leighterton Primary School, the Westonbirt Education Team is pleased to be able to offer a range of KS1 and KS2 numeracy activities to schools wishing to visit Westonbirt. Details of the activities available, the areas of the curriculum they support and resources available to borrow, can be found below with links to the worksheets. General booking information Having looked at the information and worksheets please contact the education team to discuss your needs, the activities you want to do and to check the availability of your preferred date. To prevent conflicts between users, numeracy activities are only available to one group per day – strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. Depending on the ability of your students, we recommend you choose between 2-4 activities for a two hour session and between 4-6 activities for a full day visit. For further advice on the content of each worksheet and a booking form please contact the education team on 01666 881211. To confirm your visit you must complete and return the booking form indicating which activities you are doing and the resources you wish to borrow. Due to the location of the activities we strongly recommend that you also arrange a pre-visit to familiarise yourself with the layout of the arboretum and the location of your chosen activities. On arrival at Westonbirt on the day of your visit, you can pick up your box of resources from the Great Oak Hall. Charges There is an entrance cost of £1 per child, with 1 adult : 5 pupils free (additional adults will be charged the adult group rate). There is no extra charge for the numeracy trail.
