Information for visitors with disabilities

Disabled adults are charged Adult rate and includes free entry for 1 carer per disabled visitor.

A disabled child aged 18 years and under will be charged the Child admission rate and includes free entry for 1 carer per disabled visitor.

Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available from the Welcome Building - these must be booked in advance by contacting our Visitor Services team on 0300 067 4861.

Open: 9.00am every day except Christmas day
Closes: 5.00pm – last entry 4.00pm December to February inclusive
Closes: 5.00pm – last entry 4:30pm March to November inclusive

Friends

Open: 9.00am every day except Christmas day
Closes: 27th March 2016 – 30th October 2016 - 8.00pm
31st October 2016 – 25th March 2017 – 5.00pm

Information

The information desk in the Welcome Building is open from 10.00am to 3.30pm, along with the Christopher Mitchell Interpretation Centre.

Extra information about admission charges

  • Reduced entry 
    • Cyclists and people who have arrived by public transport with a valid ticket are charged the reduced entry rate, except during events
    • The reduced entry rate applies to students and jobseekers at all times, including events
    • Students will need to provide a valid NUS card, jobseekers should present a proof of entitlement letter. If arriving by public transport, please show your tickets at the admissions desk.
  • December pricing does not include entry to the Enchanted Christmas event
  • The arboretum will be closed on 25 December
  • Major credit and debit cards accepted. Unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express (Amex) or Diners Club cards
  • Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum members get free general admission
  • Groups of 10+ must book in advance to secure the group rate. Visit the groups pages for more information
  • RHS members have free admission throughout the year, except for the period of 1 October - 14 November when charges apply. For RHS members attending Treefest or Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt, normal ticket charges apply. Please note that from 1 January 2017 RHS members will no longer be granted free access to Westonbirt Arboretum.

Seasonal trails

We have two trails with hand-picked stops running each season. Pick up a leaflet at the Welcome Building and head either into Silk Wood (dog-friendly zone, allow two hours) or the Old Arboretum (dog-free zone, allow one hour).
