Festival of The Tree 2009
From Monday 24 - Monday 31 August...
Westonbirt Arboretum will be buzzing with activity. This world-class event has undergone a radical transformation - we've made some exciting new additions, have a full programme of events, plus there's the return of some old favorites.
Talented sculptors take up their chainsaws and chisels from Monday 24 August in Sculptree. 12 world-class sculptors will bring their creative ideas to life in this 8-day event, culminating in the exciting Grand Auction (Monday 31 August, 3pm), where proceeds help to support TREE AID. Exhibitree - our incredible woodcraft exhibition takes place from Friday 28 August, with everything from bespoke furniture and beautiful works of art to fantastic gift ideas.
Family Tree - Tree-mendous activities for all in the Family Tree area and courtyard (From 24-31 August).
Some other highlights include: Arena demonstrations, guided walks, workshops, specialist talks and an art exhibition see our full event programme. More information about the Festival of the Tree, will be available shortly.

Enchanted Christmas 2009
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from 28th November to 20th December. No need to book, just turn up, (no dogs please).
Trail opens 5pm 
Last entry to carpark 7.15 for last entry to the trail 7.30pm
Take a walk through the famous Enchanted Wood and see The National Arboretum lit up at night. See Father Christmas plus lots of other festive excitement - carols from local choirs and bands, roast chestnuts and mulled wine plus a gift shop selling some fantastic gifts and decorations.
Now in its 15th year this event is attended by around 30,000 people each year. A great event for all ages, especially families.
Dog Days 2010
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st February 2010, 10am - 4pm
Over 6,000 people attended this years exciting weekend of arena displays, a doggy trail, exhibitors and traders selling everything you might need for your dog.
Why not bring your dog along next year and enter him (or her) into the first regional heat of the Kennel clubs' SCRUFFT’s - you could find yourself at the national final in Earls Court, London in the following November if you do! No need to register in advance for either the Westonbirt Dog Show (Saturday) or Scruffts (Sunday) - just visit the Westonbirt Information stand for the Westonbirt Dog Show or the Kennel Clubs' stand for Scrufts, on the day.
