Education at Alice Holt isn't just for schools and colleges! There's something for all ages and we can offer a wide  range of activities from serious learning to serious fun with some learning thrown in. You can book onto one of our advertised events or book a visit for your own group. Details of our recreational events, including wildlife walks and children's activities can be found on the Alice Holt website pages(see link on the right)and in Holt Happenings which can be sent to you on request.

At Alice Holt we support the Forestry Commission's Active Woods programme which aims to encourage people to get out into the woods and enjoy themselves (see link to Active Woods on the right). Activities range from Babes in the Wood and Little Explorers for under 5's through Den Building for older children to Nordic Walking and Walking to Health for adults. And there's the Wild Woods Club for children aged from 5-11.

Linked to Active Woods are a whole range of group visits. We lead a wide range of activities for groups of all kinds and we will do our best to tailor your visit to your needs. Corporate Days, Brownie and Cub activity sessions, guided walks, including wildlfe walks, and informative talks are just a few examples of what's available.

Why not take a look at the linked pages in the left hand menu for more details of our non-school educational activities? You can also ring Helen Wallace, Education Officer, or Kat Calver  on 01420 23666 or email helen.wallace@forestry.gsi.gov.uk
