The Central Point of Expertise on Timber Procurement (CPET) 

The CPET website has information on the UK government's timber procurement policy, which requires all government departments and their agencies to seek actively to buy timber and paper products from legal and sustainable sources. 

The website advises how public sector buyers and their suppliers can meet the policy requirements in practice.  Information on the site is provided for general use and is not restricted.

Procurement of timber and timber products policy note

The Scottish Procurement Directorate policy note on procurement of timber and timber products outlines which timber schemes provide the necessary assurances that the timber bought under these schemes has been legally harvested from sustainably managed forests.
