How much does it cost?
All you have to pay is the price of a parking ticket, which lasts all day.

We think you’ll agree that’s excellent value! Discovery Passes are available from the Ranger’s Office, and are valid for one year.
When is it open?
Haldon Forest Park is open all year round, except Christmas Day. Cars can still leave the car park after the entrance barrier is locked, but cannot enter.

How do I get there?
- By car, take the Exeter Racecourse turning off the A38 Devon Expressway. From the A380 you can follow the brown tourist signs for Haldon Belvedere. Carry on past the first gateway you see ('Office entrance only' is painted on the road there) and 200 metres on you will see the main entrance.
- By bus, you can catch the 360 bus to the Belvedere Tower. You can then join the trails through the woods, from the layby.
- By bicycle you can follow the A38 Cycle Way, which is part of the National Cycle Network. Turn off at the racecourse and follow the signs for Haldon Forest Park. Carry on past the first gateway you see ('Office entrance only' is painted on the road there) and 200 metres on you will see the main entrance.

Please don't use our postcode in your Sat Nav! It will take you to the Forestry Commission Office instead of the Haldon Forest Park visitor's car park. Follow the directions above instead.
Is there a ranger on-site?
There is at least one ranger on-site every day during opening hours. A ranger can usually be found in the ranger's office near the Gateway car park, however they do have many duties that require them to be out and about in the park. The ranger on duty will always leave their contact number on the blackboard, displayed in the office window.
If you have an emergency, always contact the emergency services first.
