Exhibitree 24 to 27 August 2007

Exhibitree is giant wood craft fair with over 150 exhibitors, traders and demonstrators selling and making everything to do with trees! From contemporary furniture to traditional hand turned bowls to jewellery, cosmetics and clothing, everything to do with trees and wood is here.

  • Exhibitree Marquees
  • The exhibitree marquees house traders selling everything from mirrors to paintings and from wooden jewellery to inlaid wooden boxes.
  • Exhibitree Outdoor Stands
  • Outside find a range for traders selling everything from furniture and garden seating to walking sticks, trees and plants and musical instruments. Don't miss Herefordshire Owl Rescue’s display of rescued owls, with regular talks and demonstrations, including the chance for visitors to handle a barn owl. 
  • Classic Hand Tools Marquee
  • With a fantastic range of tools for all kinds of wood work, Classic Hand Tools will also be running the popular free masterclasses again this year, featuring international experts such as Rob Cosman (cabinet making), James Mursell (chair making), Konrad Sauer (plane making) and Martin Kellermaier (bow making).
  • Guilds and Societies Area
  • One of the most interesting and exciting parts of the Festival is the guilds and Societies area. Here six local guilds and societies will be exhibiting, demonstrating and offering practical help and advice to those who would like to have a go at wood carving, wood turning, toymaking and bonsai.
  • Working Woodlands Area
  • Focusing on craftspeople who are closely associated with Westonbirt Arboretum, this is a chance to see a saw bench in action, try traditional pole lathing and see many other rural crafts. Find out how traditional woodland management is keeping Westonbirt Arboretum alive today!
  • Activities and Entertainment
  • In addition to the dozens of continual demonstations of everything from wood carving to print making, many of which visitors can have a go at there will be a display by Westonbirt's own Tree Team (Friday) and entertainment from local Morris sides Lassington Oak Morris Men (Sunday) and Bristol Rag Morris (Monday).
