Twelve sculptors from the UK and abroad transformed huge trunks of Westonbirt wood into amazing sculptures on the theme 'This Precious Earth'. As well as creating their main piece, carvers brought items for sale in the Sculptree gallery, and created smaller pieces during the event.

Over 150 of the best craftspeople from throughout the UK gathed at Westonbirt to display, demonstrate and sell thier craft. From traditional to modern, everything from furniture, jewellery, sculpture and more was here. Plus masterclasses, demonstrations, walks, talks and workshops and lots to see, try and buy!

Family activities included William Woodworm trail, viewing the world from the trees with 'Kids in the Canopy, ' and making your very own magic wand or wizard's shield to take home in the magical world of the Fairyland Trust.

What's of interest
The Festival of the Tree is one of the biggest events of the year at Westonbirt Arboretum. Months of planning culminates in twelve carvers working with chainsaws to transform wood from the arboretum into stunning works of art, family activities and trails and traders from around the country selling everything from turned bowls to jewellery.
