The Moray Monster Trails

With 30km of fun-packed singletrack mountain bike routes, there’s something here to feed the monster in everyone! Whether you’re totally new to off-road mountain biking, or a seriously expert rider looking for big thrills, there’s a trail here that’s just right for you, from easy green-graded tracks to severe black-grade trails. See the trail grades page for full descriptions of these grades. Get that bike out of the shed and find out what knobbly tyres were meant for! The trailsThe Moray Monster Trails work as three independent sites, but you can join them up in any way you want as all the sites link to each other. For those with a truly monster appetite and stamina to match, try all three sites end to end, from Fochabers to Craigellachie. Use the links on the left to find out about the trails in detail. Facilities and contact details are listed after 'where to start', below. To get to the Winding Walks car park, follow the A98 (towards Buckie) for 1km out of Fochabers. Ben Aigan – Sustained red and black grade routes with a big hill feel. Use the car park off the A95 near Mulben. You can also start from Craigellachie. See Ben Aigan trail descriptions. What you need To get started we recommend a basic mountain bike with suspension forks – nothing too fancy. Bike hire is available in the area (see facilities, below). Please wear a helmet.
