This Concordat has been agreed between the FC and the Motor Sports`Association (MSA). We host a large number of motor sports events on the national forest estate in England, Scotland and wales. These range from local car rallies to the International Rally of Great Britain, (Rally Wales GB) which is a round of the FIA World Rally Championship. This is an important activity for the rural areas that host events - some British Championship rounds bring £1 million into local economies, via spectator and team spending. These benefits would not accrue unless the Commission was able to host the events. We are working closely with the MSA to encourage the sport, and to explain the contribution we make.
