Grants and Licences Online (G&L Online)

Landowner
If you wish to apply for BWW funding you will need to appoint a management planner from our approved list. Management planners are woodland managers and agents that have the necessary specialist knowledge required to prepare a management plan outlining how your woodland will be managed in the future, and the financial aid that will be required to carry out this work properly. They can provide you with advice on grants that are available, including grants to pay for their services.

For more information see how to apply which also explains the application process in more detail.

Grants and Licences Online (GLOS) is a new system that allows management planners to apply on behalf of landowners for Better Woodlands for Wales (BWW) grants and felling licences, and owners to manage their approved contract online.

Once you have a management plan you can  use the G&L Online link below. Click onto the register option. When you have completed the registration process  you will be sent an email confirming your username and password.  These are needed to log into the system.  In order to fully activate the account you need to email the Technical services team  bww.ts@forestry.gsi.gov.uk and inform them that you have set up as a new user.  The team will then attach you as an owner, to your own case and you will be able to view the scheme details in full, run reports and claim grant online.  If you have any problems please contact the Technical services team.
