Civil Engineering Plant
Mechanical Engineering Services provides 12 excavators, 14 graders, 20 rollers, 7 mechanical shovels and 9 tipper lorries used by Forestry Civil Engineering in the construction and maintenance of the Forestry Commission’s extensive forest road network. This currently extends to 12,000km.
The road building and maintenance programme includes the construction of around 160km of new roads and refurbishment of 25% of existing roads each year. Mechanical Engineering Services has maintained and repaired these machines in its own workshops for many
years and in so doing has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
If you require maintenance or repair of civil engineering plant, contact your local Mechanical Engineering Services workshops. Disposal of civil engineering machine also falls within Mechanical Engineering Services‘ remit. This is done through regular advertising in the trade press and tender sales conducted three times each year at Chapelhall Workshop.
