Fantastic Forests: Ranger led - (Half day) Explore the forest and discover how trees grow and work, trees as habitats, photosynthesis and the uses of wood through a series of fun activities and games.  Key Concepts: Habitats, germination, photosynesis, growth, materials, care of the environment, sustainability.

Self Led: Why not hire one of our *Ranger in a Bag* resources to fill the afternoon.

Forest Habitats (seasonal) - Half day Following a presentation on woodland habitats and food chains enjoy a forest walk through Birches Valley. Learn about the adaptations of woodland animals and plants to the forest environment. Explore food chains, webs, adaptations and forest sustainability. May include.  Key Concepts: Habitats, food chains, adaptations, food webs, sustainability.

Self Led: Make a full day of your visit by choosing one of our *Ranger in a Bag* resources. 

Forest Survival - Ranger Led (half day) - Can you survive in Cannock Forest? Learn about the trees and plants that could help you. Have a go at fire lighting and test your group skills to work out the challenges set for you by our Rangers.  Key Concepts: Survival, teamwork, problem solving, communication skills, co-operation.

Self Led - Hire the equipment and the instructions from our *Ranger in a Bag* resource to build your own natural shelters in the forest. You will be directed to a suitable area to carry out your activity.
