The District’s strategy has been shaped by a range of national and regional issues:

1. The main influence governing how the District functions operationally is the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS).
2. The principles determining our core strategic objectives are derived from Forest Enterprise’s overall national corporate objectives of securing public benefit, economic development and environmental enhancement.
3. While the specific East Anglian objectives are derived from the East of England Regional Assembly’s Regional Woodland Strategy
