Wykeham Nursery

 

The nusery has introduced a wide range of technical
developments designed to reduce manual handling
and improve production efficiency. Our latest project
is the adaption of an Egedal bed-lifter that lifts the
trees from the ground and conveys them to a trailer
for immmediate cold storage (see inset).

We offer the same pre-treatment service as the other
2 nurseries to protect trees against damage from the
large pine weevil before planting on restocking sites.
The nursery uses 2 Electrodyne Sprayer Conveyors
with the capacity to treat and bag up to 40,000 trees
per day and the service can be made available to
external customers when time allows.
