Woodland Harvesting, Processing and Marketing Grant
2006 Scheme - an Evaluation Report (PDF 170kb) of the pilot and its outcomes has been published.
The WHPMG was piloted in three regions to help improve the competitiveness of forestry businesses. The three regions were:
- South East England
- Yorkshire & The Humber
- North East England.
Grant was available to:
- Improve and rationalise the harvesting, processing and marketing of forestry products.
- Promote new outlets for the use and marketing of forestry products.
- Establish associations of forest holders to improve the sustainable and efficient management of their forests.
