Woodland Regeneration Grant

Purpose

Woodland Regeneration Grant (WRG) contributes to the costs of making changes to the composition of woodland within the normal cycle of felling and regeneration. The objective is to support an increase in the capacity for sustainable management through this process.

The Forestry Commission has updated WRG for 2011 to simplify grant rates, deliver revised policy, provide more flexibility and allow supplements for Phytophthora ramorum (Pr) infected sites.

These interim rules and rates will be reviewed again following the report of the Bishop of Liverpool’s Independent Panel on Forestry.
