Sale Unit Prices
The link below displays tables and charts of the average prices obtained by Forest Enterprise from sales of sawlogs and standing timber in the 3 months preceding the present month. The average tree size of standing timber categories sold is also given. All sales during the period, whether by private negotiation, tender, or auction have been included in arriving at these values.
Interpretation should be made on the basis that the figures are illustrative of general trends and do not reflect local trends, conditions, or prices, nor the specific value of products in the long term. They do not reflect end product price trends and should not be interpreted on that basis.

Despatch Unit Prices
Following on the issue of contract value unit prices down to territory level, as agreed with the UKFPA, we now publish unit price figures for despatches of sawlog and standing sales timber categories at the same level. This publication provides historic data back to March 2005. Please note that Standing Sales by Instalment categories are not included as despatches for these are not recorded. Otherwise the data is compiled on the same basis as our sales information : over a 3 month rolling period.
