Responses to first consultation

The first consultation for the Scottish Forestry Strategy Review was completed in September 2005.  The initial consultation document was the Review of the Scottish Forestry Strategy (PDF 1.2Mb).

In addition to feedback on the first consultation from the five public meetings held and a number of informal discussions with stakeholders, some 190 formal responses to the consultation document were received.  Of these, 174 arrived in time to be included in the formal analysis carried out by Forest Research.

The advice and comments received helped FCS draft a revised Scottish Forestry Strategy.  A second public consultation ran from March to May 2006.
