The  FBU consists of three linked cultures and bespoke units
which are:

and under agreed Executive Board Devolved Forestry Policy
the Business Units continue to deliver a shared service, funded
by the three Countries and GB Research.

The FBU are headed by a Senior Staff Director grade,
Michael Ansell and supported by Heads of (FCE) David Killer,
(MES) Jeff Livingston and (PSS) John Morgan, Head of Finance,
Mike Southworth, Head of Services, Iain Hampson
and PA Margaret Shearer.

Forestry Devolution is working and the new Shared Services
Board, chaired by Les Bryson FE Scotland ensures a
co-ordinated approach to Country GB and programme
objectives by combining commercial acumen with
WYKEHAM NURSERY.the principles of public accountability and public service.
Country representatives on the Service Board are Brian Mahony,
Peter Garson and Jim Galloway.  A customer driven,
commercial culture that provides competitive and transparent
costs. The Business Units' reputation for continued improve-
ments has been further demonstrated ie, business planning
SR2004, expenditure and net cash against Approved Business
Plan reducing by 4% and £1 million on the 2004/05 Approved
