Stuck for ideas to get active in Wales? Try these for starters and follow the links for further information:

Ceredigion: Nant yr Arian - a range of walks to suit all abilities, demanding mountain bike trails and horse bridleway, all with fantastic views.

Port Talbot: Afan Forest Park - a range of walks to suit all abilities and a range of challenging mountain bike trails with fantastic views.

Brecon Beacons: Garwnant - ideal for family walks in stunning scenery, challenging play equipment and cycle links to the Taff Trail.

Dolgellau: Coed-y-Brenin - world class mountain-biking for the beginner or the expert in Snowdonia National Park.

North Wales: Gwydyr Forest - lovely walks of various lengths starting from the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed and stimulating mountain bike trails

North Wales: Moel Famau - an easy walk or, if you’re feeling very energetic, carry on right to the top of the hill.

Anglesey: Newborough - lovely woodlands for gentle walks, lovely beaches for relaxing.

South Wales: Park Wood - gentle walking along the spectacular Gower coast.

Cardiff: Fforest Fawr - near the enchanting Castell Coch, just outside Cardiff: Bluebells in May, linked to the Taff Trail for cycling and walking.
