Glentrool - No change at 9th FebruaryWarning: Harvesting will be taking place on the purple route at Glen Head (post 46) and on the Old Edinburgh Road (posts 30 - 32) until end of February 2010. Please take extra care and obey warning signs. Trails: all open. Conditions: Blue and Green trails completely clear. Still some patches of ice on some of the forest road near Loch Dee on the Big Country route. Other: Visitor centre, cafe and toilets now closed for the winter, re-opening 11th March 2010. Telephone: 01671 840302. Go to the Glentrool page. Kirroughtree - No change at 9th FebruaryKirroughtree car park open. Trails: all open. Conditions: Dusting of fresh snow and occasional ice patches. Diversions: none. Other: Visitor centre closed, reopens 11th March. Toilets remain open. From November to February, the Break Pad bike shop and hire centre is open 10am - 5pm, Wednesday - Sunday, closed Mon, Tues. Go to the Kirroughtree page. Dalbeattie - No change at 9th FebruaryRichorn car park open. Trails: all open. Recent blue and red diversions now removed. Conditions: Car park open. Some fresh snow which might be deep at higher levels. Look out for icy/frosty patches at all levels. Call the FC ranger service on 01387 860247 for latest details. The trail and log after The Eye of the Needle suffers from flooding in prolonged wet weather. If this is the case, please proceed with care. Diversions: none. Vaders' Lair section of Kona Darkside is currently closed. There is still timber sitting at the roadside near Loch Arthur, so please give way to timber lorries and do not pass until signalled to do so by operator. Conditions: Small scattering of snow which might be deeper higher up. Look out for occasional icy patches. Some soft and muddy areas. Call the FC ranger service on 01387 860247 for latest details. Diversions: Short diversion at Vader's Lair on the Kona Dark Side. See the Vader's Lair diversion map (PDF 219k). More info: The Shed is open 4 days a week: Friday to Monday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, and every 2nd Thursday 7.00pm to 9.00pm for night riding. Diversions: diversion at the Naze car park, on the green, blue and red routes which affects the inward and outward routes from post 4 - post 6. There's also a short diversion around the Bombhole on the section of trail from post 20 to 21 on the red route. There is also a small section been taped off after the bridge at the end of The Edge to avoid a small area that’s been washed away, but its less than 20yards. Hub café and bike shop opening hours are currently 10.00am - 6.00pm Wednesday - Friday and 9.00am - 6.00pm Saturday and Sunday. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in January. Trails: all open except for Wallrides section in Freeride Park (reopening date TBC) and two of three raised timber trail lines on Essentials Freeride Trail (closed for grip painting). Conditions: Lower trails (trailhead - Buzzards Nest height): clear of snow/ice except odd patches. Middle level trails: mostly clear of snow/ice, some larger patches remain. Innerleithen - No change at 9th FebruaryDH Trails: Snow now clear on most DH trails in trees, still snow/ice sitting on trails in more open areas. XC Trails: All open. Conditions: Lower trails mostly clear of snow/ice as are most DH trails in the trees. Above the top road (post 18) still around 6 inches plus of snow/ice. Top Minch Moor loop still deep in snow - not recommended. Diversions: None. Uplift: Next uplift dates are: 13th - 14th Feb and 6th - 7th March. Online booking available at www.upliftscotland.com.
