You can enter one word in the keyword box but this may bring back a large number of results. To refine your search try leaving the search default to 'containing all of the above words' and entering a search string.
Example you are looking for a picture of horse chestnut leaves in spring: enter - horse chestnut leaves spring. This will return pictures similar to the one shown. If you change the search button to 'containing any of the words' and use the same search string you will return pictures of spring, pictures of horses, pictures of chestnuts and pictures of leaves.

You may find the following hints and tips useful -
we always put the location in as a keyword i.e. district, region, country, also season month and year. 
activities - walking, cycling/mountain bike, picnic/picnicking, horse riding, active, health.
education, FEI.
landscape type - upland, lowland.
woodland type - broadleaved, conifer, heathland, mixed, ancient and ornamental, sssi.
forest operations - felling, extraction, harvesting, industry.

We all use different words to describe the same thing so if you are looking for a picture of a buggy also put in pram and pushchair. Similarly education and FEI: community and WIAT and urban.
NOTE for this type of search change the default to 'containing any of the words'
