Dr Olutayo Adebowale
Dr Olutayo Adebowale is an environmental scientist and runs her own consultancy. Her 25-year career has spanned academia, research and private-sector consultancy for a wide range of projects including, land management, construction, resource management, and regeneration projects. She was the first female chair of the Chartered Institute of Water & Environmental Management's (CIWEM) North Western and North Wales branch.
She currently teaches Environmental Policy and Legislation at Liverpool John Moores University, School of the Built Environment. She has been an associate lecturer in environmental control and public health for the Open University, and holds a PhD in industrial waste water treatment from the University of Manchester and a BSc Honours degree in biological sciences from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Dr Adebowale also serves as a non-executive member of the Board of the Countryside Agency, serving on its audit and risk committee, its Landscape, Access and Recreation Task Group, and on the Natural England steering group. She is also Chair of the Commission's Research Strategy Management Board.
