Topic Summary
This topic focuses on the Woodland Habitat. Children will identify parts of a tree and their functions. They will grow a seed and develop informed attitudes on the conditions for growth. They will use simple keys to classify shrubs and trees. Children will also investigate the interaction of living things within the woodland habitat.
The plan includes a variety of activities e.g.

specific pages. A number of books and CD-ROMS are listed but other resources
