What will Cydcoed fund?

What kind of projects will Cydcoed fund?
Cydcoed is not just about formal woodland improvement or tree planting.
We will consider projects that achieve any of our programme objectives as long as they pass the checklist.

MINERS BRIDGE OPENING 27/09/02

What kind of work will Cydcoed fund?
Cydcoed will fund up to 100% of the costs of works including labour costs that contribute directly to the project objectives. See list of eligible activities for further details.

What Cydcoed will not fund
We cannot fund running costs or any costs incurred before a project is approved. We cannot fund the purchase of mobile equipment (unless specifically agreed to in advance), maintenance, or insurance.

We cannot fund training as an objective. However we can fund limited training for people working on the project if they would not be able to physically complete the project without the training. Click here for examples.

Who will Cydcoed give money to?
Cydcoed will only give grants to properly constituted community groups so that control of the funds is at a local level. Anyone can put projects forward. To check that your group is appropriately constituted or to find out how to form a community group, click here.

To see the kinds of projects which have been successful in obtaining Cydcoed funding, go to our projects in progress page.
