The attractive setting of the car park and adjacent picnic site is the start point for exploring the forest.
There are red squirrels in the forest and a hide, which is the perfect place to view all the local wildlife from.

Hi this is a lovely place but we think with the addition of a park or activity area for children this would be amazing :-)

Walking the dogs today (Sunday) along the main path to the East?, along by the Prisons and heard a horrible noise that sounded like an animal being hurt. There was also a dog barking. Went to investigate and all went quiet so couldn't find anything. Other people have heard a significant noise today and Yesterday. Hoping that any walkers in the area can investigate to find out the cause.
