Warm up trail and Qualifier closed from Wednesday 07/12.

We will reopen it once the timber has been moved to roadside and the trail checked.

Forestry Work is about to start in Hopton Woods.

This is a wide scale thinning operation which will take some weeks to complete depending on the weather and ground conditions.

We will need to shut sections of trail as the work progresses and will try to keep these closures as short as it is safe to do so.

There will be a few days when the car park and access road will be closed so we can safely fell the trees around it.

-Believe closure signs,
-Keep away from stacked timber,
-Expect to meet forest machinery and timber wagons,
-Give us time to check trails are safe to re-open,
-Spread the word to avoid wasted journeys,
-Keep an eye our facebook page for the latest updates

Start here for a great ride up and down the tree covered hillsides of Hopton Woods.

Follow the gravel track across two cattle grids to the car park.

Warm-up Loop

Prepare yourself for the ride by warming up on this short route (or use it to extend the distance of the main route).  You can ride this loop as a short moderate ride or take the qualifer path to test your skills.

Moderate Trails

For the novice biker with some off road experience the Hopton Blue starts from the Bedstone Hill car park and offers just over 4km of wide tracks to develop your skills on.  The moderate section of the Warm-up Loop is approximately 1km.

Pearce XC

12.6km of flowing descents and lung busting climbs and stunning views which are bound to put a smile on your face. This trail has been built in partnership with Pearce Cycles of Ludlow.

Downhill Trails

There are three downhill trails here for the experienced downhill rider.

4 Stars 4 Stars

New Year■s day, very wet and windy. Great all-weather track loads of fun. Red trail technical in the wet but still fast. Climbs varied and make you blow.
