Trail description

Starting from Whitefield Moor car park, this walk along gravel tracks passes through a variety of habitats in the Ober valley - heathland with gorFamilies picnicking beside the Ober Water at Puttles Bridge. New Forest FDse and bog, grassland, natural and formerly enclosed woodland and the stream itself.

All have been shaped by grazing. The Paths are a mixture of moderatly smooth gravelled surfaces and compacted grassy gorund with some gentle slopes and a few resting places.

15 October, began to look around area, and we saw a large white bird, we presume it was an owl, sitting on a tree stump it then flew onto a branch, before flying off...wonderful
