Sheffield Forest covers 118 hectares of mainly coniferous woodland between Uckfield and Crowborough.
As well as being set in beautiful scenery, the forest is also home to a huge variety of flora and fauna. It attracts many native and visiting birds throughout the year including buzzards, hobbies, crossbills and nightjars.
The undulating terrain, along with the age of the plantations, gives an open feel to the wood.

Sheffield Forest is not between Crowborough and Uckfield. It is in fact just outside Nutley as your map suggests!
