Harcombe Riding Trails
(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

Trail details

Length of trail:

10 miles

Trail is currently open

Trail description

Horses and riders on a forest trail.

A network of riding trails that include a quarter mile stretch for galloping.

Devon is a haven for riders, and Haldon Forest Park is an excellent place for both you and your horse to enjoy, whatever your ability.

Riders are welcome to bring their dogs, but please keep them under control, and do keep to the designated trails.

Parking for Horse Riders

There is a designated car park for horse riders.  The Harcombe Horse box Park is exclusively for horse riders to park their vehicles and de-box.

Please note this car park is kept locked. To access the car park to ‘de-box’ you will need to apply for the code. Please e-mail Stephanie Johns or call 0300 067 4826

From here access can be gained to the Harcombe Riding Trails, which in turn link to the trails along Buller's Hill, towards Belvedere Tower.

Horse riders are requested not to use the main pay and display car park at Haldon Gateway, but instead to use this dedicated car park, free of charge.

Haldon4Horses is a group of local riders who enjoy hacking through Haldon & Harcombe Woods.
They work to help resolve a number of issues such as access into Harcombe, road signs, etc., as well as contributing towards the further development of Haldon for equestrian users.

Do you have any concerns, ideas, or require information of where you can ride? Haldon4Horses would love to hear from you:
