What our customers say

Derwent Living Housing

"We booked Sherwood Bushcraft because we were looking for somewhere outside of the office to hold a team away day incorporating a business planning meeting as well as team building activities. The morning involved learning traditional fire lighting techniques and making our own decorative trays out of willow. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all the team and we really enjoyed getting hands on! In the afternoon we used the woodland classroom as a more formal setting to hold a meeting. The meeting room facilities, refreshments and campfire-cooked lunch provided during the day were brilliant."

"We chose Sherwood Bushcraft to create a bespoke corporate event for our team of senior managers. Our main objective was to promote team working through a range of team-building activities that would also enable senior managers to spend time in an outdoor setting reconnecting with their natural environment in celebration of World Environment Day.

All aspects of the day were faultless. The entire team had a very informative and enjoyable day and the pace of activities was pitched correctly for the group, as was the difficulty of all of the activities we had chosen. The bushcraft site, facilities, programme content and teaching were excellent and represented great value for money.

I look forward to arranging a similar event and several members of the party have also expressed an interest in holding their own events at Sherwood Pines. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Bushcraft for your next corporate event."

University of Nottingham

"It was a brilliant day – the best yet! I thought the team from Sherwood Pines who ran the day were excellent.  Their instructions were clear and they were patient with those of us who were not so good at willow weaving!  I particularly enjoyed the den building and learning about the different materials to use when lighting a fire – Karina’s knowledge was extensive in all areas. Thanks to Bob for the lovely food. Would definitely recommend."

Flintbishop LLP

"I have not had one piece of negative feedback, all of the group thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the activities were brilliant, especially the den building. The group was probably quite mixed in terms of abilities and everyone was able to play a role and actively participate. The food was also amazing!"
