Forest Management for People, Nature and Economy in England's largest and most visited National Park
Hosted by the Forestry Commission in the Lake District, United Kingdom
21-23 June 2016
This year, the European State Conference takes place in The Lake District National Park - England's largest National Park (covers 229,200 hectares).
This year’s conference, “Forest Management for People, Nature and Economy in England's largest and most visited National Park” will unfold a true understanding of how The Forestry Commission operates within a sensitive environment of a National Park.
The Lake District National Park remains a precious resource and a highly designated landscape, which attracts thousands of visitors every year. But it is also a living landscape where forest management plays an important part in sustaining employment and stimulating economic prosperity.
The conference will feature:

• Presentation of forest management in a busy tourist destination
• Excursions around the Lake District to give conference delegates a true understanding of operating within this unique National Park
• Networking opportunities
• A Eustafor 10 year anniversary celebration
