Sustaining our Forests

Thetford is a sustainably managed forest.  When trees reach maturity they are harvested for timber and the income supports recreation access and wildlife conservation.  To find out more about timber harvesting visit our Forest Operations in East District page.

Very detailed planning goes into the management of Thetford Forest for timber, recreation and wildlife.  If you'd like to learn more about our Forest Plans visit the Forest Planning in Thetford Forest page.
