The latest edition of Forestry Statistics contains a variety of information about environmental aspects of woodland from a range of sources. Topics covered include tree species in woodland, carbon sequestration, populations of wild birds, public opinion on tree health, and woodland fires.
The Forestry Commission was one of the sponsors of the Countryside Survey 2007, which launched UK results in November 2008.
