Background
Vattenfall UK have signed an Option Agreement with the Welsh Government giving them exclusive right to seek planning permission to develop a wind energy project within Strategic Search Area (SSA) F.
The development is in excess of 50 megawatts and planning consent was sought from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Tree clearance works and Vattenfall's site investigations are currently underway onsite and expect to continue until the wind farm construction works commence in 2014. Whilst public access is still allowed within the Construction, Design and Management Regulations (CDM) area, there are restrictions and diversions in place.
