The Big Tree Plant Grants Panel

The Big Tree Plant Grants Panel meets twice per year usually in Spring and Summer.

It comprises members suggested by civil society organisations, an independent chair, Defra and the Forestry Commission.

Nerys Jones

Consultant, member of Natural England Access to Nature Independent Grants Panel, previously CEO National Urban Forestry Unit

Tony Kirkham

Head of the Arboretum and Horticultural Services, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Dr Alison Millward

Environmental consultant experienced in community involvement with green space. Served on the Government's New Deal Task Force and Heritage Lottery Fund's Expert Panel. Previously chairperson of Groundwork Black Country and the Urban Wildlife Trust.
