HR09/165 - EDUCATION OFFICER

Nine month fixed term appointment (extension of the contract, conversion to permanency or transfer to another part of the Civil Service is possible although there is no guarantee)

You'll work as part of a team to provide a fully integrated Education Service for the North Wales area centred in Llanrwst with responsibility for leading Welsh language woodland visits. This will also include developing local partnerships, managing small projects and raising awareness of the use of woodlands for learning.

You'll have a proven track record of working with children or other groups, preferably in the outdoor environment and managing the related health and safety issues. A teaching or youth work qualification or forestry, countryside or environmental degree/diploma or relevant experience is essential. You should also be competent in the use of email and Microsoft Office applications. The ability to converse in Welsh with ease is essential for this post.
