    HR09/161 Community/Recreation Ranger

    £23,286 and benefits.
    Full-time: 44 hours per week

    Fixed Term Appointment until 31 October 2011.  Extension of the contract, conversion to permanency or transfer to another part of the civil service is possible although there is no guarantee.

    Helping to plan, supervise and manage forest recreation facilities and community projects, you’ll also ensure compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations. You’ll support the Area Forester in developing recreational and environmental facilities, taking the lead in planning the 2010 and 2011 Sence Valley activity days.

    You must have experience in leading volunteers and/or community groups and awareness of health and safety considerations when working with the public. Knowledge of current national policies on health and recreation would be an advantage, as would good IT skills including MS Office. A driving licence is essential.  Some weekend working will be required.
