Doves have announced an East Anglian date this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s Live Music series of concerts in spectacular woodland locations around the country. 2009 saw the release of their long-awaited 4th album ‘Kingdom of Rust’, which entered the album charts at No 2. The band’s critically acclaimed debut album Lost Souls (2000) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was followed up by their subsequent chart-topping albums ‘The Last Broadcast’ (2002) and ‘Some Cities’ (2005).
Commenting on the date, Doves’ Jimi Goodwin said, "It was great experience playing to a sold-out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010."
Doves will be performing at:
Thetford Forest, Nr Brandon, Suffolk, Saturday 12th June 2010.
Tickets cost £28.00 (subject to booking fee) and go on sale at 9.00am Friday 15th January from the Forestry Commission Box Office tel 01842 814612, online at Forestry Commission Box Office.
Please buy your tickets from the Forestry Commission or our official agents. We do not advise purchasing from other ticket agents, secondary ticket agents, ticket brokers or online auction sites. Ticket scams and fake tickets have occassionally been in circulation for some acts in the past - these have been detected at the arena entrance and purchasers of fake tickets have not been able to gain admittance to concerts.
