We are able to provide the following informal education services to community and private groups in and around the New Forest National Park.

Illustrated Talks
Our Education Rangers are available as guest speakers to groups local to the New Forest.
These talks cover many of the aspects of the Forest, ranging from the historical and present day management, to the diversity of habitats and species.
(We can only travel up to a maximum of 5 miles outside the New Forest National Park boundary)
Workshops for Youth Groups
For Youth Groups in the New Forest National Park area we are able to offer 3 different workshops as an introduction to the New Forest.
- Trees and Wood - learn about trees and wood - how important they are to us and the wildlife in the New Forest, and how we use the wood when it is harvested.
- The Ranger - Learn about the role of a Ranger, Keeper and Forester. What do these people do in the New Forest?
- New Forest Ecosystems - Learn about some of the special plants and animals in the New Forest.
Illustrated Talks and Workshops Charges
- Within the New Forest National Park Boundary - £35.00 (up to 1 1/2 hour session)
- Up to 5 miles outside of the New Forest National Park Boundary - £45 (up to 1 1/2 hour session)
Guided Walks
Should your group require a guided walk on the Forest we are able to offer walks based on the following topics:
- Creatures of the Twilight (including deer)
- Wild Foods of the Forest
- A General Guide to the New Forest
The minimum number of participants required for a guided walk is 6 and the maximum number for the walk is 16 people.
Guided Walk Charge
£90.00 for up to 2 hours.
