The Forestry Commission is working with the News of the World and other partners on an exciting and ambitious project to get one milllion trees planted by schools throughout the UK.
Working alongside News of the World, the Royal Mail and Tesco we have more than 30,000 schools with around 400 Scots pine, alder and silver birch seeds in packs along with information on how to plant them and grow them on. The packs also contain links to a website with extensive teachers notes on linking the project into the curriculum, and a special Forests and Climate Change dvd for classroom use.
Any schools wishing more seed packets or dvds should email us at enquiries@forestry.gsi.gov.uk
