We are looking for a contractor to be able to provide helicopter aerial crane support for the lifting of walling stone and fencing materials over a three year period starting in March 2015.

The estimated contract value is £85,000

The anticipated contract start date will be 1st March 2015 with a completion date of 28th March 2018. There will be an option to extend the contract by up to a further 12 months in total

PRE-HARVESTING SITE INVENTORY & PREPARATION FRAMEWORK – NORTH ENGLAND FOREST DISTRICT – INVITATION TO TENDER

Tenders are invited from suitably experienced, capable and competent contractors to carry out pre-harvesting surveying, assessment and preparation on clearfell, thinning and continuous cover (CCF) sites within North England Forest District.

Works will include timber crop stratification, mensuration and marking on sites across North England with the district divided into seven geographical locations.  These locations are; Hamsterley, Rothbury, Kielder Main North, Kielder Main South, North Lakes, South Lakes & North Lancashire.

The contract will be a framework and will be awarded on a 3 year basis with a break point at the end of year 2.

The estimated total value of the contract is £250,000.

The anticipated contract start date will be 1st April 2015 to be completed by 31st March 2018.

DIRECT PRODUCTION HARVESTING TO ROADSIDE YORKSHIRE FOREST DISTRICT INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for  Harvesting and extraction to roadside operations on Clearfell and Thinning sites within Yorkshire Forest District a percentage of which may be steep ground working. The contracts awarded consist of 2 lots DP1 and DP2
Our intention is to award this contract for a five year period with break points after 1st April 2018 and 1st April 2019. At this stage the contract will be re-evaluated regarding budget availability, timber availability contractor performance and price.
Estimated Contract volume for Lot 1 DP1 is 20000m3 per year (100,000m3 over 5 years)
Estimated Contract Volume for Lot 2 DP2 is 10000m3 per year (50,000m3 over 5 years).
 
The estimated total value of the contract is £1.65-1.8 Million
Lot 1 DP1 is  in region of £1.1-£1.2 million
Lot 2 DP2 is in region of £550,000 to £600,000
 
The estimated contract volume is 150,000m3
Estimated Contract volume for Lot 1 DP1 is 20000m3 per year (100,000m3 over 5 years)
Estimated Contract Volume for Lot 2 DP2 is 10000m3 per year (50,000m3 over 5 years).

TREE SURGERY WORKS IN WEST ENGLAND FOREST DISTRICT – SOUTH WEST AREA

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for Tree surgery works in 1) Cornwall and 2) Quantocks, Exmoor and East Devon. The work is likely to be making trees safe in areas of high public usage including roadside locations by undertaking surgery to individual trees.
An Emergency Response is required within the tender, usually after periods of high winds.

FELLING AND CLEARANCE OF PHYTOPHTHORA AFFECTED TREES
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST      

Forestry Commission England is inviting expressions of interest for contracts to undertake the initial cutting of tree crops affected by Phytophthora ramorum.
The work is to comply with felling notices that will be issued as and when diseased areas are confirmed. As yet there is no information about the final size or value of the clearance programme.
Under the Plant Health Act, Forest Enterprise is currently required to cut an as yet unknown area of predominantly larch crops in the South West, and North West of England to various deadlines up to April 2015.  The contracts will be to fell or clear young crops, to ensure that the trees cannot spread the disease.  Further working of the felled trees (conversion, extraction, stacking, etc) may be included.  Once felling notices are issued, the work areas will be tendered in several different sized Lots according to geographic, crop and terrain features.
We anticipate tendering work in Lots that will generally be in the range of £5.000 - £50,000.  The number of Lots is as yet unknown.
Commencement dates will be as soon as possible after contracts are awarded.  Time will be the essence of the contracts with full completion expected by the date agreed with the successful bidder.
