GENERAL FOREST MAINTENANCE – MARCHES INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for general forest maintenance.   All sites are located within the Marches Forest Beat of the West England Forest District.  The contractor is required to undertake general forest estate maintenance duties including: 

  • Cutting of vegetation using; chainsaw, clearing saw, brushcutter, strimmer and hand tools.
  • Repairs to fencing, gates, barriers and signage.

The estimated total value of the contract is £20,000

The anticipated contract start date will be 05/05/2015 to be completed by 04/05/2016. There will be an option to extend the contract by up to a further 2 years, 3 years in total.

TREE SURGERY NORTH ENGLAND FRAMEWORK
INVITATION  TO TENDER

We intend to award a framework agreement for tree surgery operations, including deadwooding, crown lift, crown reduction, pollarding and sectional felling of identified trees plus some chipping of residues. There may also be a requirement for the felling and dismantling of individual or small groups of windblown trees. In addition the provision of a tree inspection report may also be required in certain instances. There may also be occasions for the need to operate a Mobile Elevating Works Platform (MEWP’s) with suitably qualified operators.

The work will be allocated into 6 lots spread over the whole of the Forest District.

The estimated total value of the framework is £500,000

The anticipated framework start date will be 5th June 2015 to be completed by 4th June 2019

OFFICE CLEANING
INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for Office Cleaning at the Forest District Office, near Hexham, NE48 2HP. General office cleaning on the ground floor to include windows and gutters.

Site visits can be organised between 6th March 2015 and 1st April 2015

The estimated total value of the contract is £25000 over 3 years

The anticipated contract start date will be April 2015 until March 2018

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT BARRIER SYSTEM AT DALBY FOREST, NORTH YORKSHIRE
INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for a Traffic Management Barrier System. We require a system for Dalby Forest which captures traffic movement at both entrances with various methods for allowing access and various options for payment which is all linked to CCTV and ANPR technology. This system must be able to network across a large rural site to allow easy entry/egress at either end of the road. We also require that all barriers and pay stations are linked by intercom to a remote monitoring location (visitor centre/mobile/FC office).

The system will have back office reporting capabilities to allow the importing and interrogation of data relating to, but not exclusively, vehicle numbers, length of stay, payment option use.

The estimated total value of the contract is £150,000

The anticipated contract start date will be May/June 2015 to be completed by July 2015 with an agreed maintenance schedule in place after that.
