BARRIER-LESS  AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION (ANPR) CAR PARK SYSTEM AT WHINLATTER NR KESWICK, CUMBRIA

Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for a Barrier-less Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) pay on exit car park system.

We will be awarding a contract for the provision and installation of a barrier-less operating system which is connected to an automatic entry ANPR system.  Our aim is to improve honesty rate on site, increase dwell time on site and provide a fair and ethical means for customers to pay for parking.  The equipment installed must be robust fit for purpose and easy to maintain on a daily basis by staff

The estimated total value of the contract is £43,000

The anticipated contract start date will be 13th April 2015 to complete the installation of equipment  by 31st May 2015 with a 5 year service and maintenance contract  included

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT (DOMINO) CONSULTANCY INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the development and maintenance of its website and its various bespoke Content Management systems. Both the website and CMS have been developed in-house since 2000 on an IBM Domino platform.

This contract applies to the www.forestry.gov.uk website, specifically the England, shared services and Forest Research sections. It excludes the Forestry Commission Scotland website scotland.forestry.gov.uk and third parties.

The estimated total value of the contract is in the region of £100,000 over 4 years. The contract will be awarded for two years with options to be renewed annually for another two (2 + 1 + 1)

The anticipated contract start date will be 04/05/2015 to be completed by 03/05/2017 but could be renewed annually for another two years (03/05/2019)

SECURITY SERVICES THAMES BEAT (ESSEX AND KENT)
INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for a four year security services contract for 11 community woodlands in the Thames Beat area, covering South-East Essex and Kent.

Work includes regular and on-request services, including car park locking & unlocking, site patrols, site response visits, car park charging enforcement and 24 hour public phone call administration.

The contract has been split into two lots, and bidders may submit tenders for one or both lots:
 
Lot 1 – Thames Chase Community Forest, South-East Essex
Lot 2 – Jeskyns Community Woodland, Kent

The estimated total value of this contract over four years is £121,150 - £151,050.

Lot 1 - £84,600 - £110,550
Lot 2 - £36,550 - £40,500

The contract will cover 11 sites in two distinct geographical areas; the estimated volume of work is:

Thames Chase Community Forest, Essex: Ten sites making up 407ha
Jeskyns Community Woodland, Kent: One site of 147ha and office building at Shorne Woods Country Park

The anticipated contract start date will be Friday 1st May 2015, to be completed by 30th April 2019.

The estimated total value of the contract is £2,500,000

The estimated contract volume is in the region of 230,000 tonnes

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT BARRIER SYSTEM AT DALBY FOREST, NORTH YORKSHIRE
INVITATION TO TENDER

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for a Traffic Management Barrier System. We require a system for Dalby Forest which captures traffic movement at both entrances with various methods for allowing access and various options for payment which is all linked to CCTV and ANPR technology. This system must be able to network across a large rural site to allow easy entry/egress at either end of the road. We also require that all barriers and pay stations are linked by intercom to a remote monitoring location (visitor centre/mobile/FC office).

The system will have back office reporting capabilities to allow the importing and interrogation of data relating to, but not exclusively, vehicle numbers, length of stay, payment option use.

The estimated total value of the contract is £150,000

The anticipated contract start date will be May/June 2015 to be completed by July 2015 with an agreed maintenance schedule in place after that.

SSSI WETLAND RESTORATION WORKS IN THE NEW FOREST
FRAMEWORK NO: 304/HLS/15/1114

We will be awarding framework agreements for SSSI Wetland Restoration Works in the New Forest, part of the South England Forest District.
Our intention is to award 3 Framework Contracts to deliver the programme of SSSI restoration work for a period of 4 years from the 5th May 2015.

The typical works will include:
• Meander restoration
• Bed level raising / partial drain infill and narrowing using hoggin/rejects
• Bed level raising / partial drain infill and narrowing / drain infill using heather bales
• Complete drain infill
• Debris dam creation
• Ford construction

For the first year of the contract a total of 7 Works Packages have been designated at the following locations:-
1) Harvestslade, 2) Amberslade & Broomy Inclosure, 3) Pondhead, 4) Cowleys, 5) Picket Mire, 6) Corbets Hat Mire, Woodcrates Mire, 7) Longbeech Mire.
